Seaplanes coming and going is a part of the magic of Life on Lake Union. These seaplanes use Lake Union as an international airport and serve routes to many destinations within Washington and Canada.
To help the pilots navigate the busy Lake Union the Recreational Boating Association of Washington has created a “Mind the Zone” campaign. This campaign helps to educate the public about the buoyed zone within the center of the lake. Watch this video for more info.
